FIIT

Finance Impact Industry Team (FIIT)

Every Tuesday | 6:00pm - 8:00pm | UC-05

Introduce students to the intersection of finance and social impact, deep-diving on a range of topics from sustainable investing philosophies to their real-world applications for various asset classes.

Weekly meetings will cover 2 broad topics: sustainable investing and finance knowledge 101. Each meeting will begin with a discussion regarding news in sustainable business, as members will come prepared with a new development to share. Throughout the program, we will analyze the strengths and shortcomings of sustainable investing philosophies, such as activist investing, as well as real-world examples of their usage. Coupled with this focus, we will explore accounting basics, comparable analysis, DCF valuation, and more.

Members will complete FIIT in teams of 2, where they will be assigned a certain industry. Market updates and other deliverables will be completed based on teams’ respective industries. The final deliverable will be a stock pitch that utilizes the skills and knowledge gained throughout the program.

Applications for Spring 2024 are closed.
